GETTING INVOLVED: PROFESSIONALS, RESIDENTS, PARTNER ORGANISATIONS
PROFESSIONALS
RRC welcomes approaches from professionals interested in working as part of the core team, as associates or advisors. Please contact Alan Heeks: see below for contact details.
RESIDENTS
This project has evolved from extensive discussions with prospective
residents, and there is already a substantial list of people interested in
living in the project.
How you can get involved
1. Residents’ core group: This group will take a leading role in the creation of the cohousing community, and in the specification of the housing and related facilities, and it will also contribute to RRC’s work on the overall project. The criteria for membership of this group include:
sharing the aims and values of the project
willing to make a significant time commitment (at least two days per month)
relevant personal and/or professional skills
The core group started meeting in January 2006, and meets monthly.
2. Potential residents’ network: This is an informal network of people interested in living in the ecovillage, creating the social enterprises, or in supporting the project in other ways, who will be briefed on progress, and attend periodic consultative meetings.
For more information about the Dorset Cohousing Group, and how to join
one of the these groups please see
